I picked up an Alden Appledore peapod that is rigged for two of these (I'll only use one..) but I don't understand how you keep it in the bottom of the boat beyond me planting my 90kg in the sliding seat.

There are two primary supports running fore/aft. There are a series of little brackets oddly spaced on either side. The Oarmaster base fits within these brackets ...but the only thing that looks like it fits in these brackets are a couple of springy, SS things that look like a hairpin pulled wide open?!

Any thoughts?

The boat looks Pretty cool. I hope to launch it this weekend. Thanks.

Thanks guys... I knew about these commercial connections. Just thought there was a civilian within this group who was actually using one with whom I could have a conversation. Unlike a lot of low volume items; there are even new parts available. Cheers.
