It's Cold Here!

Minus 12 Degrees with wind chill. That is cold for us, so I thought what better way to warm up than post some pictures of wood boats from some of my favorite gatherings and outings from the past several years. Enjoy and please feel free to stoke the fire!

looks like youi have a lot of snow there.. A lot of white. Am sure the boats are beautiful but I'll have to wait for spring to see them...;)

I love posts like this, I can't see the pictures, but thats just limits I put on my browser. The thing that bugs me is if your going to post, why can't you include a short concise heading that has pertinent info in it. Like where is "here"

many of the vessels say OR on them. there's pics with clearcuts in the background, and mountains higher than anything on the other coast. the fog...and then the guy's T-shirt.

dirtsailor is in the pacific NW, or more precisely oregon. yes?

Mystery Bay at Marrowstone Island...a little piece of Heaven.

Yep that was all oregon, some from Astoria, others from what looked like a cascade mountain lake, Waldo I think.
Also there was a Columbia river Slough in there as well.

Yes several of the shots were Mystery Bay, great place for sure! The rest are Oregon, but not Astoria, or Waldo Lake. Columbia Slough at Caterpillar Island yes. The port shots were Depoe Bay, Toledo both of which hold Wooden Boat Shows annually. The lake shots were all high Cascade lakes in Oregon. Paulina, Suttle, Little Cultus, & Fall creek reservoir.
(Fall Creek isn't actually in the Cascades, its just West, for those that like to be picky)
I had hoped others would add more photos but I guess no one wants to stoke the fire so I guess it's going to remain cold.

Finally warming up here on the high desert of Oregon, at least we're hitting the thirties again.
