Nothing on ebay at the moment. Anyone visited any consignment shops and noticed any for sale?

Nope. I'm going new this winter, Dickenson. Get one with a hot water loop. Defender can get you any model you want at the best price in town.
Dickenson is a gravity feed so you may need to install a daytank up high. Like abaft or ahead of the main mast. For Marmalade, I'm looking at getting a nice small beer keg for the purpose - very cost effective and very good tank.
No matter what diesel cook stove, get a SeaSwing for that quick pot of coffee on a warm day or soup in a hard chance. You don't want to run the diesel stove under weigh except in very calm air and they take too long to get heated right to justify firing up just for one or two pots of something warm.

Use the beer keg but build a wooden keg around it for Character. I had two such kegs mounted forward (no beer kegs but a couple of monel tanks special made) one for diesel and one for gravity water for the shower. Looked like a couple of old wooden kegs.

Ian.. I checked the Defender website under marine cooking stoves. Dickinson not listed... Just so ya know.
Checked the new line on the Dickinson website.. A wee tad expensive.. Not including the parts required/necessary...
Gonna spend some time looking.. Oh and I have something similar to the small stove/grill for fast items such as COFFEE!!!:D

Jamie, I still think you should look at the Wallas stoves. They run on diesel or kerosene and vent to the outside. There is no open flame. There is a cover that fits down over the cooktop when you aren't cooking that has a little fan inside it and it works as a cabin heater. Think about being toasty warm all the time in your snug cabin. Think how quickly that wet dog would dry out. :D

I've heard these stoves aren't cheap but that's what that big Canadian rebate check is for, no?
I've seen ads in some of the American boating magazines so they are being distributed in the US now.

Sounds like you're interested in a used unit. If so, I have one that I picked up a while back that's too big for my boat (25' Friendship). It would need some work but if you're interested I can send you some photos and a more complete description. I'd love to have the thing out of my basement...
