Ive just spent (or wasted) a week sitting at the Southport Yacht Club Marina whilst trying to head south to Sydney for the Classic and Wooden Boat Festival.

I made two starts but got beaten back due to foul weather. On the second occasion, it took me about half an hour to run back to port covering the same distance that it took me two hours trying to beat south!! There's been low after low and strong to gale force warnings the whole time. And still the bad weather continues.

So after some deliberation Im now trucking DECATUR to Sydney. She is being loaded on Friday 22nd and will be in Sydney on Monday 25th. Ive had my Dad here to help to get the rig down and the gear stowed for road transport. I will however be in Sydney on my own. A lot I can do on my own but I do need help with getting some of the standing and running rigging back up again. Im offloading at River Quays at Mortlake. If anyone is able and willing to offer help I would be very grateful.
Thanks.
Bernadette

Bernadette, sorry I am unable to help at this time.
Can't even find the time to get to the Boat show.
This is a serious undertaking, at least 600 miles with all the wide load issues.
I hope you find help and all goes well.

Rufus.
