It does. The odd thing is that the guy behind him without the foil seemed to be going faster.

That was the problem with those foils, more wetted surface than a planing windsurfer. Slow

I would love to be able to ride silently above the water like that. The hydrofoil surf boards and Air Chair look like fun also!

Does look awesome and I’m sure would be an amazing experience but I think he is having to de-power the sail foil to compensate for balance. Looks like he’s really having to work hard at the trim and too much weight forward and he’ll be eating it. He would certainly be loosing loads of power.

Liard Hamilton (spelling?) famous for his big wave riding, surfed a foil like the windsurfer. If you’ve ever seen footage of riding something like that on 40 foot waves it’s truly mind blowing. In fact there was something like that in a James bond movie.

I do not see how this is possible, of all the different things he is balancing what would keep it so stable in pitch?
