After spending over $700 advertising my boat in two issues of WoodenBoat, WoodenBoat for sale on line, and Craigs list, I ended up selling the boat to a local hotel owner. The funny thing was that I knew the person who bought it, and he knew that I had a boat for sale. I didn't know he was looking for a boat, and he thaught I had a sail boat. I just mentioned that I was pretty much giving up selling it and was planning to take it up to Mobile to keep it at a friends house, and he asked me questions about the boat.
He was looking for an interesting looking shallow draft houseboat to keep behind his hotel, and my boat was perfect.
I was just gettiing to the point where I was looking forward to the cruise, too.
Congrats. Now what are you getting to replace it?

Congratulations....
Will you miss it? I know I would
You chose the same designer I see.
Mark I just saw your ad in one of my WB's just last week. I didn't realize that you were selling it. Although I'm not in the market I'm sure that my wife would have loved it. I know I really liked it when you stopped in town here and I was able to visit.

I don't think I will miss the boat much, I have lived on it for 6 1/2 years, and I am ready to move on. I will probably miss the 14 foot whitehall more.

If I do start to miss it, I can allways fly down here and rent it for a week or so.
