Thank you! She's wet, not a dry seat in sight;) Slightly above or spot on the waterline,mast in-clunk,nephew christened her in champagne(non-alc ;)) the whole village was there,flowers,gifts etc.Epic.
Pictures,good ones, will follow when I get them ok?
Minor problem with the wire shrouds, ahem could be pytagoras,the calculator? ;) Anyway I've done it before and there is enough length for new splices. Sleeping aboard this evening so thank you for thinking of me.
Buy you a beer some fine day.

Not a bad night on board, considering the slow trickle of seawater coming in from the forward keel area. My guess is a backbone through bolt, about 3/4 litre overnight. We also have engine start,started on the first try. Not bad I say, even if I had to buildf a new rig. Thanks again for your support.

...How about some more pics?...
Why, sure, Rune.
I'm living vicariously over here, keep 'em coming.:) No pressure though, take your time and enjoy.
I love the picture of the neighbor kid at the tiller. And the 'whole village', as you say, gathered on the shore for the launch. You forged, with your own hands, some deep connections to the past and present of your community. You're fortunate to be in a very special place, I think.
Just one question, does the wind ever blow at Innvik?;)
norseman
04-23-2008, 06:52 AM
Thank you L.W. A very special place indeed. Want to borrow a boat,tractor, some land for a boat project? No problem here. The crane operator refused to take my money saying it was a very special event etc. Priceless. Can't help feeling a little depressed though, what now?
More pics ;);

Maybe, but the mast is hollow,solid from just below the gooseneck. Live dangerously ;).

Thank you all for your comments.
I've been living aboard since sunday, anchored about 100 m out on the bay. The anchor is of course Chuck's design, doing an excellent job so far.
This morning a friend came alongside and gave me some freshly caught mackerel. A cup of coffee in the morning sun etc. Life is good .
So, forumites, how's life onshore ??? :D:D:D
