We have one boat insured with Hagerty and two insured with Boat US
Hagerty:
1962 23 ft. Chris Craft Sea Skiff
Boat US:
1955 37 ft.Sparkman & Stephens Gulfstream 36
1967 30 ft. Deadrise Chesapeake Bay work boat

Some situations Hagerty is the better deal, sometimes Boat US is. I've never checked with anybody else.

The last boat show I went to the insurance people were talking about how the industry was coming around to understanding that most wood boat owners take care of their boats and this particular one would have no problem insuring me. I think it was Anchor something or other Insurance. If I remember right, it's the one who dropped me back in 2001 because they no longer were going to insure wood boats. Did that help?

I'm perfectly happy with Heritage, but I met the Hagerty folks at a thing in Traverse City Michigan last summer. Awfully nice folks, and they insure vintage cars as well. Any reason why not Hagerty, JD?

Thanks,every bit of info helps. I'm trying to negotiate a better deal and need some ammo, like other insurers etc. My new marina has a locked main gate as well as locked docks. Both are card operated.

Jack, there is one in MI.. I think they advertise in wooden boat..At least they used to.. I'll search for it.. Just can't remember off hand. If I find it, I'll post the info.
I was not happy with Haggerty myself.
