Funny the radio ads for this have been running for months now on the Q.

If this were happening in Seattle you wouldnt hear about it on the radio.

What is the Q?

If it's not on kexp, then I'm confused.

kexp is a great station.
I like variety so I keep rotating between the mountain, the q, the end, jackfm, kexp, etc.

And Sirius radio.

according to the q's website ... now playing - "One Night Love Affair," by Bryan Adams.

Anybody know if there will there be a chance to see these tall ships underway as they travel south toward Tacoma?

The Q plays a lot of good music you wont hear anywhere else, like

Big Sugar
Wide Mouth Mason
Sam Roberts
April Wine
etc...

They are mostly local boats from Washington and B.C. The same ones that we see year after year. Not that that's bad or anything, but they arnt the world fleet of 165+ footers. The one I dont want to miss is USCG'S Eagle. From zee East...

I read Victoria up above ... but had Tacoma in my mind. Weird. Maybe because they are diametrically opposed.

We've been looking for an excuse to go to Victoria for a while. Tall ships is better than most.

I haven't heard of any of those artists. Which one should I start with?

I just put 3 Sam Roberts songs on the music thread.

WMM is my favorite :)

I'll assume that the Q is Canadian, from their playlist.

You probably can get on one of the boats for the Parade of Sail or similar event for a reasonalbe price. Get your ticket early. When they don't sell out it is usually a function of poor marketing.

Send them an email.
