You guys know the ones... left over from the 60's side mounting and controls both throttle and shifting...
Well, I need one for my new boat to mount in the cockpit. anyone know where to find one in almost any condition? I just restored one for my old boat that some guy gave me because it was siezed.
I was hoping to find another like it because I know how they work now.

I just might have one of those lying around. If I remember correctly, it was never used, but not in the box. I'm in PT now, but have to do a quick stop in Seattle for a wake saturday, I'll take a look. If I find it, you can have it for free. I think it's white.

I believe in Karma. If you give away enough sailing stuff, eventually something shows up that you actually need!

I was having second thoughts as to if the one I have is actually a MORSE brand or not. I wanted to make sure everyone who might have one for Thad saw this post.
Look in your vast collections of boat gear everyone.:)
Thanks,

Thad,
I removed one from my boat and replaced it with a beefier unit I found on Ebay. The original linkage arm was/is mild steel and had been welded repaired. The "arm" is chromed zinc so is pitted. I'll dig it up and photo it, but it might not look as good as you'd like. You can have it for the price of shipping.

I looked high and low for one several years ago for an new engine installation. Came to find out that the classic dual action (gear and throttle) side mount Morse controls (which have been fouling running mainsheets in sailboat cockpits for eons!) are no longer made at all. Morse redesigned the sidemount dual action units for JET SKIS and they look like hell compared to the "workmanlike" appearance of the old ones. Lots more plastic here and there on them, too. Mechanism and "guts" are still the same. If you come across one of the old style ones, grab it.
I think I have one that came with a DV10. I prefer the two cable design. I will look tomorrow, and post a pic.

I tore the garage apart with no luck in even finding it. Sorry about that. Hopefully others will come through for you.

Wrong one, sorry, I missed the part where you were looking for "dual function". My boat has throttle and shifting utilizing totally different and seperate levers.
