Dave, when someone says something like 'dream boat' I can usually tell more or less what it is that they want. You fooled me completely. So that's your dream boat? Well, it's pretty cool, that's for certain. And pretty expensive indeed.
Hope you hit that lottery tonight, my friend. Best of luck to you.

Mick,
LOL. Surprise!!
Dream boat in the sense that it would serve a "happy family" purpose: Margaret loves riding around low and slow in the early evenings until sunset poking along the shoreline talking to neighbors and watching the ospreys dive for fish. It's usually dead calm by then, thus no sailing, and she brings supper along.
Yes Nanoose, it's very expensive especially considering that it's a "Handy Billy type" (only 5' longer) and used ones of those sell for $18-25K. The boat is owned by a friend's sister-in-law (of the Merck family) so I doubt the price will drop much.
I'd like this one, too, if it weren't across the continent: http://www.nwboatschool.org/boats/Boat_Detail.aspx?processID=5

Your dream boat is named "Pagan"? Hmmm....
Seriously, that would be a fun boat for poking along the shore. Says it has room for a porta potty. That is mandatory in any boat SWMBO is willing to let me play with.

...add a "camp sink and stove" so you can get the second home mortgage deduction!

...at $68K most of us might need a second mortgage! Love the dark hull.

Probably takes more hands to sail than friends I have who I'd like to sail with, but if you're gonna dream........

My dreams have diminished somewhat over the past few months. Right now I just want everything that I already have in good condition. If I hit the lottery I think that I would just buy a good used Dragon and a good used Finn. Yeah, I'd keep what I already have (the Megabyte is great on days that you don't have any help launching or retrieving from the floating dock) and add those two.
Silly, really, to add anything. I already have too many boats, but dreams are what keeps us going, are they not?

and planning with the dreaming.;)
I can't remember when exactly I became overwhemed with lust to own Riada .. about 12 or 15 years ago, and I certainly had no idea the way that events would conspire to allow me to get it. But the idea lurked away as an aspiration.
Lifes too short Dave. go and buy it.

Perhaps after my in-laws' boat dies a natural death. That's the one we use for evening cruises now.
