Well it a run-a-bout designed for extremely large outboard..
Built for speed... that why I stated "at your own risk!" Unless you have experiences with fast boat

Yes I realize it's a potential hotrod, I was inquiring about their build method. Thanks.

Hespie, no, I haven't built one but I have built two other chined plywood Glen-L boats, one for power and one for sail. These designs are well thought out and go together the way they're supposed to. The plans also came with an instruction booklet and for the expanded version Glen Witt has written 'Boatbuilding With Plywood'. Good luck.

As are you, sir. Is the one shown on the Glen-L site the prototype made by Glen-L staff? They do that with quite a few of their designs to work out the kinks and evaluate the design both from the point of view of building and the characteristics of the finished boat.

"Well it a run-a-bout designed for extremely large outboard.."
hahahahahahahaha: guess it is a matter of perspective! i came to this site to learn about kayaks and canoes, but have been in fast boats before. 113mph in a 22' modified tunnel changes your perspective...
ANYTHING can be dangerous when done foolishly, even in a "safe" canoe....
Looks like a fun little runabout, might do one myself: the tunnel was my uncle's.

I've seen a few at races, never been in one: my ride was in an outboard. And i concede to you that the consequences of stupidity is on a curve to how fast you are going and not linear.
I have cut station mold templates for a Sunnyside Cruizer but am frustrated that i have no really good place to set up for the duration of the build, so i have cut and stitched a 2-sheet canoe and will be taping it in a couple of days. Should encourage me to set something up.
Not trying to steal the thread, just common ground: you are more of a Gentleman than i gave credit.

I'm formerly from New Zealand the home of the jet boat, thanks to Mr Hamilton. Nice looking boats on that site.
A friend of mine here in Tassie has built the little Glen L jet ski powered speed boat. Can't remember the design name, but he made a lovely job of it. It's for sale too!! Might be tempted.

I built a Glen L TNT a long long time ago, Gawd I feel old, I was 15.
Looks like a similar design.. That GlenL has been around a pretty long time.
