Looking for a source for the old teardrop shape running lights ( P & S )originally made by WC . I know of Bristol Bronze but will not deal with him. Any other sources out there? Thanks in advance.

His website

If you only need one set, you may want to check ebay; I see them on there periodically. There's a seller named "iloveyou99" who is very knowledgeable about vintage bronze hardware, etc. If he doesn't have a set listed, he probably knows where to find one. Good luck.

Jim Reineck is Not with Bristol Bronze. And as he had a replacement green glass globe for SARAH's starboard running light (not that we dropped one on the shop floor and it shattered into a million pieces or anything...), I'd just about bet he has the fittings. ;):)

I've got a lovely set of teardrop lights. Not so the glass for them - it was cracked and attempts were made to glue it up by previous owners (I still have the pieces). I'm thinking of using the glass to provide the shape for me to make a hardwood buck which I can drape some heated glass over and cut to shape with a dremel. Anyone done this?

Doc Freemans (RIP) in Seattle had boxes of these things.
Barely a week goes by which I don't miss the place.

Acrylic plastic can be bent over a curved buck with little practice using a heat gun and leather gloves. The trick is to find plastic which will give the desired shades of red and green when illuminated.

The lenses for these tear-drop nav lights (aka wingtips) are hemispherical glass or plastic. Don't think you could easy do a home brew replacement.

I wouldn't deal with Bristol Bronze. Jim Reineck is a great guy to deal with and he has the teardrop bronze nav lights.

- I'm not sure if you found the lights yet.
Marshall Marine has them. I think they are Perkos that aren't chromed. I got a set a few years back for my cat. Very reasonably priced.

The lights on "Bright Star" are the old tear drop Perkos. The lenses are nearly shot and are no longer available anywhere but from a garage sale, auction or marine swap shop. When they give up for good, I will install a set of the ones that Jim Reineck makes. I like his products and I like dealing with him.

Benchdog,
Thanks for the Marshall Cat source. I talked to Jim Reineck but he did not have them . The gentleman at Marshall had them in stock which is a big plus for me.
Best to you
Mark
