You may not have noticed it, but I‘m working on a tradition, here on woodenboat forum. :D So, for the third year in a row, I’m proud to present my pictures of this year’s edition of "Ostend At Anchor":

Ostend at Anchor is an annual maritime festival, attracting many historic ships to this Flemish port. For four days, the city celebrates boats and maritime heritage from dawn to dusk .

Again, no boats from the US this year. Shame on you.;)

The next two boats, motor launch Nina and surfboat Tessa, are build by my boatbuildingmentor Koen De Gezelle. I helped out with the construction of Tessa, so I was very pleased to see her again. She was my first boat building experience, and hopefully not my last.

Behind Tessa, you can see another motor launch. Not particularly my taste, but I just love these traditional fenders.

Also a favourite of mine: a "Schover". These boats were used for herring fishing between 1870 and 1920. You see, not all traditional boats from the Low Countries have leeboards.

Thanks for all the pictures. I live on the East Coast of the US(Cape Cod) with similar geography, 3-4m meter tides and lots of shallow waters and I've always loved the Dutch leeboard boats, Botters?
