Friday 0830. The railway winch is working. We're carefully wedged. So ever so gently we slide down the railway and into the water -- but not off and floating at first. We're at the bottom of a spring low - a really big spring at that.
1030 and we float free, putter out to a mooring, and begin the next phase.
Yesterday I spent the day basicly shoveling out - sorting tools from construction debris below, vacuuming sanding dust from everywhere, etc. Today will be a short one as we're having a surprise birthday party for a friend but it will involve lots of water and bleach and that repulsive dive into the bilges with putty knife and courage.
My list of projects may not get done before I really have to leave - 'twould be nice to sail home Tuesday but I must at least do some boom repairs first.
The bridge is repaired, so from here on my days at the Chatham Summer Spa are my own choise.
If I get other things at least minimally done, I might make Mystic yet. We'll see.
