After the WoodenBoat Show, Rosemary and I will be spending the first week in July on Cape Cod. We're renting a house at Craigville Beach with her family to celebrate her Dad's 80th birthday. I'll probably need some fresh air now and then. I would appreciate any information about opportunities to rent daysailers or small cruisers. Or I would be glad to pull on strings if anyone needs a crew. Any wooden boat related activities planned for the July 4 weekend?

Thanks in advance. Looking forward to meeting many of you at the WBS.

I don't know the fireworks schedules yet. The town shows are published but the best show, viewable by boat, is thrown by the Oyster Harbors Club in Cotuit Bay. We have a Kedger's Club raft up and some folk arrive by auto.

I don't know about the boat rental market around here, oddly enough, but I'll no doubt be sailing around. We'll be in touch.

Be sure to get ice cream at The Four Seas in Centerville, just inland from Craigville Beach. A real old fashioned soda fountain. Prepare to wait and be jostled!:D

I've rented a small catboat in Welfleet Harbor several times. So far as I know they're still available. Very pleasant. Best around high tide, that is one shallow bay.
