Bonjour, i'm french , do you know this small boat ? the "périssoire d'Etretat" built years ago at Etretat in normandie or all around this town in France - you can see images on the website : http://www.adeauville.com/siteclient/josse/canoe.htm

That looks like a piroque type double paddle canoe. And the other pictures show a beautifully active canoe culture! Thanks!!

40 years ago as a Boy Scout, we built are version of a Lousiana Pirouge. Very similar. Canoe trips down the Qaudalupe river in central Texas. Beutiful time, and period in Texas. Wow thats a cool wooden boat-canoe. Thanks for the image

She looks as if she would be right at home in La Louisiane. Or here, just off of my front yard in the Fish or Magnolia rivers.
