I'm trying to use Samson Lightning (same as Amsteel, but looks silvery like galvanized wire) to replace the diamonds on a traditional Albacore mast.
The stuff won't hold a knot....how do I get tension into it? The smallest rigging screws I can find are waaay bigger than this stuff (I'm using 7/64" ) and totally negate any weight aloft advantage.
Any ideas?
