Sailed in this morning after a few days of calms and thunderstorms on his transit from Portland via Monhegan. He had to backtrack a bit to get some help with the engine at Boothbay Harbor Shipyard where he's now on a mooring. (We've got family company: niece, her husband and their five children so no 'room at the inn') Jamie's a bit tired after steering for a few days but in great spirits as is Ceilidh. I'll take them shopping and to look for a replacement drip coffee pot part tomorrow afternoon. He's still hoping to get to the Small Reach Regatta.
If only 'mud season' hadn't arrived in August all would be swell!
IPhoto is acting badly so I probably won't have photos, but it's lousy weather anyway. He says he's been making up derogatory ditties about NOAA forecasts and their unreliablility.
