Nah, the races are a month apart Mickey. 50 miler was delayed 2 weeks due to weather so we had that and 60 miler only 2 weeks apart. As it happens it was nearer to 70 I think anyway.. Next race is the 100 and thats about 6th september I think. Then the full crewed 120 miles to the bay of Islands in late october( Coastal Classic)
That should get me through winter reasonably sane.
Fixed, yeah no problemo.. cost a hundred dollar.. new metal sheave for the outhaul and I bought some second hand lewmar genoa fairleads with the wrong size car and cannibalised them onto my carriers.
Great day out today ( sunday)though... 'training'..... cough, ah hahaha. 12 or 15 knots at times, sun shining ( I got sunburnt despite the block) good company, 1/2 doz '2 handed' gybes, a few tacks . great.

Nice to have a decent day after all the bad weather recently, nice to go for a sail in not 25 or 30 knots , for a change.
