Does anyone remember if there ever was a discussion on Dory history, that might have included Schonkers?
Anyone familiar with the Schonker?

No, I have no knowledge of the Schonker or any relationship to dory history and development. Please tell us about it.

If you are referring to the boat described here:

then, no, this has no relation to the history of the dory. It is instead an interpretation of one of the many Dutch cargo boats developed for the Zuider Zee, the shallow inland sea.

Schonker is a made up name because the boat is like a Schokker but
not quite, so they are calling it a Schonker, which means boot in
Dutch or Fries. I probably am not supposed to tell the Yankees
