Just have to add water and stir. Problem is I have tried and failed (miserably and many times) to attach a picture. If someone else can post the picture for me I would really appreciate it. If there are any kind souls out there please PM me and I'll email the pic.
Roy.

Lovely!
Wow. something to shoot for as I work on the interior of my boat.
What is the trailer? There don't seem to be a lot of options that are not either too short or overbuilt for a boat in the 15-16 foot, 150 pound range.

Beautiful job. Let us know how you like the forward facing rowing setup.
Really nice. Were the upper strake and thwarts stained? Did you oil or varnish? It really came out nice.
Beautiful, just what we're all here for.

Gorgeous. I've been wanting to see a completed build. I was ready to order the plans when SWMBO insisted I build a powerboat. Take some more pics when you get her in the water.

Thanks everyone, my ego is now satisfied, at least for a little while!
TimT - the trailer is from Castlecraft. Comes in boxes, you bolt it together and make it fit your boat.
WCM - both the top strake and all brightwork is varnished. The strake is marine mahogony plywood and the trime and transom are all American black walnut.

Beautiful work— the first ding will be wrenching I'd think. But the boat will stand up to it, and you'll survive.
Where did you get the bronze piece with eye for the stem?

Yes, very nice on the eyes.
The trailer question perhaps referred to sprung load. Were you able to spec, or modify trailer springs suitable for the light wieght of the boat. Too stiff trailer springs are hard on wood hulls. They make for a harsh ride.
BTW, have you weighed the boat?

It looks very impressive. The walnut is beautiful as is the sheer strake. Great job.

WCM, my question was not about the fit of the u-bolt-it-together-yerself trailer to the size of the boat. It was about the springs and the weight they were designed for. A 150lb boat on a trailer designed for a 1000lb boat is in for a rough ride.

Chip-skiff,
The bronze eye in the breasthook for the mooring line is actually a thru hull fitting with most of the threaded part cut off. I used two more in the transom for the aft lines.
Tom Robb,
The trailer is only intended for boats up to about 250 pounds (if memory serves) so it should ride OK. I haven't weighed the boat but a neighbour and I lifted it without difficulty so I'm guessing it's about 125 to 150.
Thanks again for all the kind comments. It's a good thing you can't see it up close (when the ten foot rule would come into play anyway).
Roy, I apologize for hijacking your thread.
I'm starting a light boat trailer topic in the resources/product search section of the forum.

Lovely boat Roy, a credit to both you and Mr Oughtred. Can we see the stern please, I've never seen the stern of an Acorn, and am wondering if it is as attractive as the rest of the boat.
Thanks,
Daniel

Hi dhic101
I don't have a stern view yet but I will take one at the first opportunity. I have to admit, it does have a rather attractive rear end!!
