I'm downsizing to an apartment and need a place to store my boat for a restoration. With the downsizing it'll give me the funds/time to get her floating. If anyone knows of any boatyards or people with space please let me know. I have contacted one yard with no luck. It's a 26 ft MacKenzie and I have a 16x16x36 ft cover-it it's stored in. Any help is greatly appreciated
Pete

My bet on storage was always an open self storage lot, I have one here by me where I keep my 18 foot tupperware critter. Its also a lot cheaper then a marina. You just have to find one that will let you cover it and work on it.
Best,
Paul

Check with Mystic Shipyard in Wet Mystic. I have always seen one or two boats being rebuilt in their sheds, along with many others (mine included) kept there for winter storage. Don't know what their charges would be, or space availability this winter, but their sheds are certainly big enough -- they could handle a 70 or 80 footer. Sheds have power but no heat, so rebuilders make up a plastic covered frame and put a propane heater in it.

Did you try Dutch Wharf? But then again, it might be a few bucks.
