what are those things that look like miniature unstructured hammocks that hold up and organize gear in the cabin?

Does anyone know where to get these or how to make traditional ones? Sources for supplies? books?

thanks

They don't look hard to make, maybe buy one, see how it's done and make more. Or figure for $9.00, your time is more valuable...

I prefer plain netting stretched over hooks under the deckhead, rather than the minature hammocks, because it is more stable and you can get more stuff into it.

Traditionally the place for fresh vegetables and fruit, on a cruising boat.

Its also a good idea, if you have lockers that open athwartships, to have netting inside them to stop everything falling out if you have to open an "uphill" locker (but on a point of design, try to avoid any athwartships locker doors!)

google "how to make a hammock" for diagrams of the basic knot. From there it is up to your imagination.

I still have the hammock I made from 1/4" manila in high school...

I went through this trying to get some underdeck storage on my Bobcat. I ended up using motorcycle bungee nets. They're rectangular, stretch and work slick, although not traditional.

They're cheap too.
