Looking at redoing the bottom paint on our H28 (mahogany plank).
I've come across this Aquaply M coating -

<snip>
Aquaply M is an environmentally safe (clean water act, clean air act, water pollution control act compliant) epoxy barrier coating for use in the Marine Industry. It is a permanent bottom coating for pleasure and work boats. It contains no pesticides or algaecides.
Aquaply M provides a lubricated surface containing NO metals.

There have been a few government studies using this with positive results - but I can't find any personal feedback.

Has anyone used or tried this on a wood hull? They claim it will work no problem and actually can use it to fill aswell.

Not me, but I'm curious about these 'alternative' coatings. The scent is in the air re: banning even copper based anti fouling paints, but like most people, I prefer the testing of any new products be subsidized out of somebody else's wallet. Aquaply M looks like it's as expensive as premium copper based paints, i.e. in the $250/gallon range. I currently use Pettit Trinidad SR and a good coating lasts four to five years. Any alternative's gonna have to beat that.
