Hopefully not too
But Lauren Joel and I got out on the water Sunday afternoon at Portsmouth Newhampshire. Marine forcast called for 6-10' swells and I believe them, most waves were at or above horizon line, the view from the tops was exhilerating, the Alpha was sailing up and up these big wave faces under full sail. We didnt meet up with any rowers,we were hoping to catch a group circumnavigating Gerrish Island, it may have been they did not go out through Brave boat harbour entrance due to wave height, the swells were coming through the rock break water at Ordiorne and 2-3' surf was breaking on the mudflats and saltmarsh up at Newcastle! , sailing back the sun was low and the entire coastline to the south was shrouded in this golden mist from the big breakers pounding the stones. The tide was way down and we had to hand cary the trailer down over the rocky bank, 80' of anchor line tied to the trailer hitch on the Roadmaster helped us get the trailer back up. I fell pulling the boat back on the trailer so after a stop at the ER for 4 stiches and a tetnis shot we made it home, tired but exhilerated by a beautifull day. will post photos soon. ): none of big waves, we were to intent on sailing to even think of a camera.
