My husband will be in Sausalito from November 27th through December 9th. If any of you would like to meet him and have a beer, PM me for his contact info. :D

We are re-powering ORCA with a new BETA 38 engine. While David is there, she will be hauled out for a survey, nice shiny new prop, and a transducer.

Here is couple of old pictures of her. ORCA will be brought back to her full glory under our loving care....

Excellent Spinner - what engine are you pulling out?

Sounds like a good plan, especially if the old engine is on its last legs.
A brand new engine will be a big help making that inside passage up to Alaska.

Will you be hauling at Spaulding? Visited over there last year with the boys. We were checking out North Bay Boatworks, after their story in the Chronicle. Took Anton and crew some sandwiches and beers. Beautiful work going on over there. John

When we bought ORCA, she did not have any engine at all.

So this is all new stuff...

I don't know and David don't remember who is going to haul her out. We are in the process of making the arrangements right now.

The company who will install the engine is "Hirschfeld Yacht Contracting" in Sausalito. http://www.enginerite.com/ They are working with the company to haul her.

Will keep you posted if you are interested...

Good luck, and may all go as planned, Kalevala. It sounds very exciting.
