You know that I talked about joining as a partner in one of the PNW boats, didn't you? I won't give the name for fear of incriminating the nice guy who owns her, but we talked about me being a bit of a partner (buying a 1/5 share) on one of the boats in Seattle, and sailing in the Newport Worlds in 2009. Of course, that was before my own little version of reality whacked me upside the head and the dream vanished like one of those cartoon clouds over your head.
Want? I am not sure. Dreamt of it, of course. I think that of the International Rule boats the 8's are prettier, but the 6's are really active now and of course you can put together an amateur crew much easier on a 6. If I do have a dream of a bigger boat these days it's a 30 square that I dream of. I love the square metre boats, which makes sense since Johan Anker was very much involved in square metre design. Honestly though, I seldom think of anything bigger than the Dragon these days. Smaller seems to be just fine for me right now. Then again, we still play the lotto every week so you never know.

Yes, I've been "whacked around the head by reality" too recently re a boat. Many regrets, but probably the right decision. Want? definitely, lust even. But practicality won out..................damn!!!!......
