Hi ,
Sorry for posting this under 3 different categories but I really need all the wisdom this board can come up with on this one..and so I am "multi posting here:

Hi All !
I am looking for a 225 horsepower Scripps engine. This would have been common in my boat [ 1954 Chris Craft] and i really want to find one that has NOT been rebuilt if possible. I want to bring it to a certain Mchine shop, have it completly dissassembled ,dipped in a hot tankand then reassembled with ALL NEW PARTS. new pistons, rings reground crank and bearings, and original paint BEFORE all the extra parts are bolted on .In other words ,a factory new ,1954 [or so] 225 horsepower for my C. C.
If any one can shed some light on this it would be truly appreciated ! Please just point me in the right direction !

Thank you in advance
Watson

Tall order methinks.
I assume the boat's original engine has been rebuilt.
I will ask around a couple of the Muskoka restoration guys I know.
I think there was a Port Carling fellow on the forum who may respond.
You might also try getting in touch with the Michigan chapter of the ACBS-they are hip to more Chris Crafts and their whereabouts than any other group I know.
Good luck.
