So I'm Google Earthing over Lake Worth, Florida, and just inside the West Palm Beach inlet is this curious craft. Looks like they had a very bad day. Anyone know what boat it would be?

The image is dated Jan. 20, 2005, if that helps.

Congratulations on a great, most interesting grab from Google.

But... if you look at the mast, it has clearly been de-stepped in an orderly fashion. The only thing that is curious is the missing aft portion of the Northern umma.

Looks like a cool boat!

It is obviously a crash-landed X-Wing Fighter being converted to look like a modern tri...

...they've got the false stern added on, but not the umma end.

Hmmm, It's one of the big ocean tri's. Been broken for a few years. I can't remember the name, but it was identified and discussed on Sailing Anarchy at some point.

I should add, that if you look around West Palm in Google Earth you will see my Swede 55 from before I purchased it.
