A question by Rick on another thread prompted me to post this site. I searched the forum and do not believe that it has been posted before, if it has, my apologies.

The pictures are posed latest first, so scroll right to the bottom of the page and start there.

Interesting link.
The name of the boat type was also interesting... over here that would be called a åttring ('eight-rowing' or eight-oaring). I was expecting to see a seksæring (a six-oaring).

I'm sure this has been posted before, but the pictures fit the topic. There is an åttring at the bottom. The rest are of a seksæring.

They were six or seven man boats. The foremost pair of ruths and kabes would be used when "andooing" to row up to the longlines whilst the rest of the crew hauled and stowed the catch, or to keep her head into the wind.

The discussion page attached to the main wiki page has a lot of interesting historical data, and is worth a look.
