The wheels of justice turn slowly, but........
A MAN has been arrested in Queensland over a Sydney Harbour boating collision that killed six people earlier this year.
The man arrested was Percy Small who had been a barman at Balmain's Commercial Hotel a the time of the accident, The Daily Telegraph reports. (http://www.news.com.au/dailytelegraph/story/0,22049,24710752-5001021,00.html)
About 2.05pm today, detectives arrested a 24-year-old man without incident at a home in Sippy Downs on the Sunshine Coast, police said.
On May 1 this year, a fishing trawler and a 23-foot half cabin run-around collided near Bradleys Head.
The crash killed 29-year-old Alex Nikakis, 25-year-old Jessica Holloway, 22-year-old Alexander Rumiz, 21-year-old Stacey Wright, 20-year-old Elizabeth Holder, and 32-year-old Ashlei Ayres.
Nine other people were taken to hospital sustaining injuries as a result of the incident.
The group of 14 on the boat was celebrating the sale of the Commercial Hotel when they went on the ill-fated trip.
Mr Small was taken to Maroochydore Police Station where police said he is currently assisting with their investigation.
Detectives expect to lay charges later this evening.
