What's worse than running aground?

Answer: Running aground during the 28th annual Regatta of Lights in front of +/- 2,000 spectators...:o:(

Guess I should have done these in order... :o

Welcome to the club. I ran aground last October and had to be pulled off by a bass boat. Thanks to the skipper of the bass boat. Of course people nearby in another sailboat that did not run aground were gleefully taking pictures. Said pictures ended up on the slide show at the sailing club's annual dinner. Arrgghhh!

You mean we weren't just parked there so everybody could see how good looking we were?

And that little red boat with the REALLY BIG ENGINE wasn't just sight see-ing?

I hope it was on the putty and not the bricks.

Running aground on a looong slow slope so that you are 100 yards away from the nearest water deep enough to float you. On a falling tide. Next to a busy channel so that all the other boats can point at you as they go by. In a little 26' Pearson with 5' of draft. Being passed by huge motor yachts that draw less. Thats worse. ::sigh::
