WB did an article on Bloom's boats a number of years ago. It is quite a fleet, and nice to seem them active. Tough work in all kinds of weather. Always thought one of them would make a fine "Sound Cruiser".

KGAgree!!! Some of them are very attractive boats.
I will have to track down the issue with that article.
Thanks.

Here is a shot of their Bridgeport, CT fleet. I couldn't get too close to them.

104 years as part of Bridgeport's waterfront community, and thrown out on their collective ears because of some "redevelopment" crap. It's amazing what a little bit of corruption and greed can do to people. You will have your hand on your rear for a long time before anything ever goes up on that piece of property.

The small wooden MFV always seems to me to be one of the most attractive boats on the water. Generic similarity from sea to sea, but also a very distinctive "look" from each location. Just comparing in my mind with some of the Scandinavian boats on the "North Sea" thread and the Scottish and Irish boats that I am familiar with. I have always particularly admired the double ended Scottish boats with their gold scrollwork on the bow and their fanciful names like "Golden Bough" and "Bright Star"

These oyster boats may be utilitarian, but they are also harmonious, well proportioned and beautiful. :)

KGThe whole situation is a mess. I don't understand why the yacht club and the oyster operation couldn't have been incorporated into the development plans.
They have done that type of thing in other places.
