I need sails for my Bolger Light Schooner. Does anyone have experience with the ones sold by Payton? Alternatively, can anyone recommend an alternative at roughly the same cost or cheaper? I hand sewed my last sail for my Nymph. Now that I have proven to myself I can do it, I want to pay someone else to do it.

The Oregon Coots have a sailmaker they seem to like that may come in roughly at the same price as Duckworks.

Does your wife sew?
. . . .actually that might cost you plenty!

I am in Eastern Oregon about three hours from Portland and three hours from Boise. I am willing to buy by mail though.

Some of the Coots may be nearby north of Bend. They have been discussing a local sailmaker recently on their yahoo group -- highly recommended!
