Hi All, I put this pic of my boat up on my computer desk top to inspire me to spend countless hours in the freezing cold to GET IT DONE.

Hi Paladin, not sure I understand. Can you elaborate? The boom come to over my head when it is straight back. Also, I don't know much about fractional rigs, but I've read that they do not benefit from real large jibs.....true or false, I don't know. Cheers.

Looks great, unless you're going to race it keep it that simple and spend more on the boat not the canvas.

Hi Chan, I did a fun race last year and hung a fishing pole off the back end and trolled for Muskies. I am not into racing with that boat. Too much wear and tear on the old girl.

djn;I think Chuck is yanking on your chain a bit. He's obviously getting cantankerous from being cooped up all winter.I suspect he secretly aspires to owning a schooner.:D

My daughter is sharing an apartment in Marquette MI. with a girl whos father owns a 70' coastal schooner that will be in charter service next year. I have an open invitation to crew this summer. Looking forward to sailing my boat up Lake Huron and across Lake Superior for a couple week vacation of crewing on the schooner. She is sending me the link to their web page and I will post it as soon as I get it. Cheers.
