And weather.com says it was in the 40's in Woodville today - so no snow...
Whatssssuuuup? Is this a metaphor for the shambles we've made of our lives chasing these wooden dreams???

He wouldn't. Besides, there isn't a piece of wood that's curved, bottom painted, or varnished in that heap. Looks more like a SWMBO-mandated cleanout of something else, or maybe he's been over to see my neighbor. ;)

Nice pile of firewood there. Are you doing a reno? It looks like a bunch of old construction lumber.
But good joke, you had me gasp there. It took a minute to figure it out. :D

Yikes,at first that looked like a shot of my garage. ;)
Commmonnnn ED,where is pheonix?

Yeah, I'm believing Ed's fooling with us, fellas. I don't see anything that looks like wreckage of a bow-roofed shed. The lumber's all wrong and no plastic sheet or polytarp in sight. And clearly nothing that looks like an S & S yacht in the early stages of a rebuild.
Had me goin', too, for a minute.

for heaven's sake, put us out of our misery . . .

Well, after that momentary convulsion ended I realized there appears to be a knot in that piece of lumber over Finbar's head, so I figure it must be a bad hoax. Are we sure it's Ed that posted this? Maybe he's been kidnapped! Are we sure that's Finbar, maybe we should have the dog DNA tested!
OK Ed, what's up? Need a new garage before you go any further? Has SWMBO laid down the law & said you have to complete the house renovation (or build a new house) before the next screw comes out?
Now what's up??

Now's the time to explicate.
We wait with abated breath...

Ed,
I've seen dogs chew things up before but this is ridiculous.
Or maybe the Woodville Smasher struck again.
In any case, I'll pick up Doc and we'll be right over for the party.

Wayne is right, it is a hoax. The shelter would never collapse like that under any snow. It would be kind of a "soft" landing around the boat.
Ed is just getting rid of some other project or maybe it's some neighbors "junk pile" ;) Bring on the marshmellows.

Well, it's like this, The Lurker & Co invited us north to "Golden Pond" for the weekend. My right arm still hurts so we figured a few days away would be good for all. The Lurker is in the midst of a major reno of his aunt's house there, a comment was made, and the rest, well you see the rest. We'd have torched it, but the fire dept will have to stand by, just in case, and such events must be scheduled far enough in advance that they are comfortable there will be no competing conflagrations. Don't ask me how they know that...
I suppose I should have saved it for April Fools' Day. ;)
Oh, Margo, it was 52 American up there in NH on Monday, and one definetly wanted one's Bean boots before venturing outside.

Whoa! That is a relief to hear. I figured you'd finally got the last screw out.

My unspoken thought was that it is too early for April Fools Day. LOL
Anyway, I figure collectively we owe you one, Ed. Paybacks can be h*ll, ya know. ;)
Wayne
Actually I figured there can't be that much snow on the ground in Woodville with nothing on the ground 30 miles to the south, so it had to be a hoax. -----You just wait Mr. Harrow, --- When you least expect it!! :D
Ed, looks like you had too much idle time on your hands over the weekend to dream up this ruse. Were the loons out on Golden Pond? Or was it that smog free environment up here in the "Live Free or Die" state?
As Wayne and nedl suggest, payback is imminent and can/will occur when you least expect it.
From now on I will wear the Beans hip boots when I read the next status check. ;)

Ed,
You didn't fool me for a minute. We have not seen that much snow around here since Feb 2001. It was gorgeous out last week and I celebrated by glassing the rudder, finishing the cabin hatch, and building the mast support for my Bolger Micro. And...there was not that much good wood in Phoenix the last time I saw her!
