I'm looking for an article in WB about hot molded wooden boats built in the US in the 60's. the company used a vacuum bag to compress the veneers sandwiched with heat activated glue and then it was placed in an autoclave. Anybody remember this article?

I though the last of the hot molded boats were built in the 40's and 50's...

The Yellow Jacket Boat Company made molded boats in the 50s. Here's the link:

I believe the article in WB also mentioned Mahone Plycraft by Industrial Shipping Co. of Mahone Bay, NS. - http://www.paceship.org/plycraft

Thank you for all your help. The boat was indeed the Luders L16 and my question followed a thread in the forum of http://www.atalantaowners.org.uk/
concerning airborne lifboats in WW2. I am presently restoring an Atalanta 26 built by Fairey Marine who designed the construction process. My restoration progress can be seen on my blog. http://salizanda.blogspot.com/
