Probably time for another Bay Area EBS, as my calendar is starting to fill up and I imagine everyone else's is too.
Whatsay we get together before the end of March? Here's my boating events calendar - as you can see, April is pretty darn full. Not sure if I'll be going up for the Albion row on 3/8 (done it twice already) so that day can be free.

The last weekend in March is taken, all others are free for me.
Any suggestions for date or location?
Here's the thread for the Nov 14, 08 EBS -

Just got a correction from Linda Dillion on the Albion Row -- it is actually on 3/28, where I'm now triple-booked. Oh well.
How does Sat, March 14th sound to youse guys? We could combine it with a row earlier in the day on Lake Chabot for those with carry-in boats, as the Sac/SF TSCA folks have been idly discussing that as a venue.

I'm up for it, let me know when and I'll try to make it work. Hopefully no engine troubles this time! Fridays and Saturdays are best for me.

Biggest problem with combining the row and EBS is finding a YC or pub with safe parking for the boats -- so I may rethink the combo idea (aka "backpedal").
Any ideas for safe parking in the central East Bay area? Somewhere near Castro Valley or San Leandro would work, but we may have to go to Alameda to find a boat-friendly YC with parking. Ideas anyone?
I'm no help with ideas... but I'm up for a get-together, and (unfortunately) my calendar is wide open! Just say when and where.

OK -- we will set the date for both Lake Chabot Row and the EBS for next Saturday, March 14.
Lake Chabot Row - we'll launch around 1 and pull out about 5. $2 fee, boats must be carried or dollied from the parking lot, no trailer-launching. http://www.ebparks.org/parks/lake_chabot
This will be WEATHER PERMITTING -- I'll send my cellphone # to possible participants for any late-breaking news if the weather is iffy. If it is bucketing down rain we'll cancel, but will go ahead and row if just sprinkling.
I'm still working on finding a nearby friendly pub with safe boat parking for the EBS, and will announce the location of same later in the week.
Wherever it ends up, the EBS will be in the East Bay and start around 6pm, ending around 9pm.
We know that Banjoman can't make it, but can others planning on attending let me know if they will be there for the row, the EBS or both? Thanks!
