What is an EBS? :o From what I gather it's a social gathering. Correct?:rolleyes:
In the Navy we refer to them as an RPC (Request the Pleasure of your Company or if you speak the lingua franca, Retournee Pour Confirmee) unless it's for "drinks then downtown" at which point we call it a PAC (Pre Action Calibration). Before a shoot, (pre action) we always get a few rounds down range to allow the gun systems to determine the errors of the day due to weather, humidity, wind etc. Ballistics is such a nasty thing isn't it. Nothing like a PAC in the wardroom to sort that stuff out!!!:D:D:D

Elbow Bending Session, as in bending one's elbow so as to bring an (adult) beverage to one's mouth while BS'ing about boats, politics, whatever, with like minded individuals.

Next question,
"If boats are continually on one's mind, one is therefore continually thinking of boats. Stay with me here..... How does one differentiate one session from another? Better yet, if one is not drinking, say at work while thinking of boats, then comes home and has a few beers with the boatshed boys while continuing the same train of thought........"

Actually, the EBSs I've been to seem less about boat talk than other more personal things in people's lives. Not a bad thing.

We brought some hardware for give-away and/or swap, and certainly talked about things other than boats for PART of the evening. But, hey, wooden boats is what we have in common...
