Pardon an old landlubber, but what the heck is "hull splashing"???

Splashing is making a (fiberglass) mold from another builder's boat and using that mold to make boats for sale. It saves a lot of cost to do it that way.
The builder whose boat is 'splashed' probably won't like it.
