Wow!:eek: Charlie you're sure tackling a lot at once. Can you protect the exposed wood of the cabin before it gets too weathered ?:confused:

Good old Oxalic Acid will take care of that...
Hell, that doesn't include the engine and water tank R&R or interior refit Im doing.

Whew, I sure hope ya keep going and keep the Forum posted with images. The ports look great . They don't make em like that any more.

The port took some doing considering they haven't been out since 1961. I pulled the screws, cut the varnish bead and took a 3 Lb. rubber hammer to it. Here's hoping the rest cooperate....

looks like ya got the method down Charlie...for at least one. I guess a little tap with a mallet all around did it. If some prove stubborn I wonder if a little ice applied to the metal would shrink it a few thousand's to make a difference.:confused:
