I live in the lower mainland of British Columbia. I would like very much to learn how to build a wooden boat. Does anyone know of any courses or have any suggestions.

There are several programs in British Columbia: Silva Bay Shipyard School on Gabriola Island; Cowichan Bay Maritime Center; Brewery Creek Small Boat shop, Vancouver; and Nomad Boatbuilding, Vancouver. Every year, WoodenBoat does a full listing of schools. Full information for all of the above will appear in the March/April 2002 edition (WB No. 165).
