A reader suggested I offer Canoe Sailing Magazine pennants. Anyone know of a supplier that makes them in small quantities?

Depending on design, you might consider a silk screener. I made Kedgers' Club penants - white anchor sideways on a field of blue - the sewn way at first but found in burgee size with that pattern a silkscreened version was cheaper and as durable.

To expand on what Ian said, you probably have a local shop that does silk screens on t-shirts. I have a friend who does this locally and she has made some small flags for me. I haven't seen them yet because I am on the friend schedule but the shirts she did turned out well. You will probably need to pick the material for them, 100% cotton usually. But you might be surprised at how inexpensive they can be. Drop in your own grommets and save a few more bucks.

Brewer Banner Designs did a nice job for me on about 10 private signals. They were reasonable and a pleasure to work with. They usually have an ad in our sponsor's magazine.

Also wonderful folks:

They will even do single flags - say for an owner's pennant.

I was talking to a friend who's the fleet captain of a Maine yacht club yesterday, asking if his club had someone in charge of their web-based communications. He said they do, but members don't use the site much. I saw on Margo's rec. flag site above that there's a (semi?) official pennant for a club's 'web master':

The best version I've seen of a club web site is the Quisset Yacht Club's on Buzzards Bay. It's probably necessary and especially useful because the club has no building and no phone! :D

There are probably more fancy sites for clubs elsewhere....

I don't know about fancy, but ours is pretty functional.

If you click on "Read the new Telltale" link, that's my doing :)
There's a little corruption of the font on the cover. How, I don't know, it was a bloody pdf file, but I think it came out pretty good. Working on the April issue now...

Newsletters are a lot of work, so hats off to you Margo!
How did the March 7 auction go? Get anything for Sarah?

The west coast company I deal with for custom made flags, burgees and pennants is Nikki's Flag Shop in Newport Beach CA.
They are the best I have ever delt with.

I'm pretty sure Flags Unlimited does custom flags. It's a nice story too, how they got started from a small family owned business that made Canadian flags because you couldn't buy a decent one that would fade and how they grew to Canada's largest flag manufacturer.

Another vote for Brewer Banner. (a small local company in an old brick building)
