This is a product that I have not used, mainly because it is not normally carried by marine hardwares. I do note on the spec sheet that it is UV resistant, but it mentions nothing about UV filtration. If the price is reasonable, it might be worth investigating. The worst that will happen is that it will not perform as well as some of the better known products and the work will have to be done over.

I've used it. Just last season on the "bright work" "gunwale" of my bass dory, as well as the oars (all 4).
Obviously I can not (yet) comment on the durability. Although I visited said dory last weekend for the first time this season and it looks fine.
I can comment on the application though. Loved it. Smell and application remind me a lot of that well known tung based varnish, without all that fiddly 60%, 70%, 80% stuff. Reasonable price. This is what I decided on when it became clear that Jay's favorite was no longer readily available via Behr's at Home D.
I am planing on putting another coat on this weekend, since it'll only take me 40 minutes.

One thought, Cabot was bought out by a huge conglomerate (I forget which) a couple of years ago. I think that when Cabot really WAS Cabot, they did not make any varnishes. Their products then were always superior; I hope they are still, that the brand name has not been dumbed down.
