Finncat rebuild

Hey all
Just joined after having taking on a wee project, was a Finn in her former life built around 1960.
A previous owner wanted a Cat boat so did the additions in the early 80's, aparently sailed very well untill she dropped off her trailer one day whilst he was setting up the rig.
This cracked the hull just aft of center case, I might add the center case is a throw away as some folk have said I should do with the rest of the boat ha ha.
I saw her sitting on his drive looking very lost and neglected and fell for it, she was also purchased at the "RIGHT" price so here goes.
Anyhow, I'll be picking brains as the process goes.

Sounds like a project with potential! Rigging a Finn as a cat yawl with bat-wing sails would be interesting.

The purists thought it was awful when I put rowlocks on my Finn.

Scimitar, how about a larger picture of your boat?

Here are photos I found on a British website a couple years ago, showing a Finn converted to a yawl. I wonder if he broke that long, skinny mast and just decided to rig a gaff sail on the remaining part?

Hey thanks for that, I intend to keep to original rig but stick to having the cabin as well, make a good day sailer I'm hoping.
I'll upload some more pics when I have some time on my hands

New centre case nearly completed, just sealing other holes as well before going over the hull to remeady other bumps and knocks......

Yea, If I had the patience and skill i'd get her back to original specs but too much has been chopped out previously....
