Looking good, Dave. We're hoping to splash in two weeks.

There are a few more boats than that in Southwest Harbor and Bass Harbor, but only because Hinckley and Morris are launching boats to be delivered elsewhere. I did see ONE boat out sailing today just outside Southwest Harbor. I am going out tomorrow on a friend's boat. We launch next Wednesday (May 27).

OK Dave, that pic did it. No more killing time on the Forum. Back to work on the boat. Thanks!

What a beautiful sight. I wish I was there! We could take the Shields for a nice spin.

Got the stuffing box tightened up and she's dry as a bone. I was worried for a bit that the rudder tube might have a crack, or that one of the keel bolts was leaking also, but we dodged that bullet. I would have hated to have to haul out to fix that!

It was in the mid 70s today and I rewarded myself with a brief sail after helping my neighbor raise his flagpole after putting on new halyards and painting it. Summer is here.

Vinny and Shawn just called. They are here in town working on sprucing up their Acacia.

rb, how is it going at Southport? Is there activity and work to be done? Is the staff smaller? What projects are going on that you are enjoying?

Damfino splashes on Tuesday.
I'm surprised at how quiet my boatyard is. Slips are 1/3 full and moorings less than that. The yard even has time for grounds maintenance. Maybe it'll be busier on the weekend.

Jim,

When Joe CSOH, Steven and Mary stopped by yesterday I plied them with some of your Pusser's Rum. Joe realized he'd already had enough this weekend and thought better of it.

If Vinny and Shawn knock off work on Acacia early enough and come over for a sail we'll raise another glass to you and Amnesty.

If Vinny and Shawn knock off work on Acacia early enough and come over for a sail we'll raise another glass to you and Amnesty. How does that saying go? Rum can get you through times of no work better than work can get you through times of no rum.... Rum and good friends makes it more than doubly effective. If all goes well, this time next year Amnesty and I will be getting ready to join you all in that picture. I'll bring a refill!
