Hello, everyone...Jeff Lane here.
Some of you may remember that a few years ago I was
fairly active in these forums for awhile. Because
of that, I still occasionally get private messages
from members asking questions about boats in Norway
and hereabouts, my part of the world for many,many
years now. I always answer these on the message
board, but to date, no one seems to have read my
answers to them. So, I just thought that if the
folks that thought I never answered read this, they
might be well advised to look on the message board
for what I sent, now as long ago as last year. It
also might be just as well to write me directly, at:
<jeff.lane@online.no>, for those who might want to
do so.
I have a message to "Smacksman", if he's still
around: There is an original smack lying in Bergen
that is just about to get sunk, because the care-
taker wants to stop caring. She's pretty far gone,
but not irretrieveable. Anyone's for the taking,
she's about 70', as I recall. I surveyed her for
purchase a few months ago, but the buyer backed out
when he read my report.
