In the late fifties or early sixties my older brother had a Bryant. It was maybe 15' - 18' varnished plywood runabout with a foredeck and windshield. It had an Evinrude V-4. Were these local Seattle built or ?

I'll be damned. Just googles them and they are still making boats in Tennessee.

Bob Smalser posted this in 2005. He may still have his Bryant.

At Bell Harbor this year we met the lady whose father, Jerry Bryant, was the Chris Craft distributor in Seattle, and who was responsible for bringing these boats to market. I think they are fun to see on the rare occasions they turn up. Very much a local product, Bryant was at one time the largest Chris dealer/distributor in the USA.

Marty Loken who restores boats on an island somewhere near Seattle has done extensive research on Pacific Northwest boat builders. He may know about Bryant.
