Wooden Boat Shop in Chautauqua, NY Area

Yesterday I visited with an old friend who owns an all wood old Lightning which he has stored at Chautauqua NY. It seems his spruce mast has a rot problem at the base and hasn't been seaworthy for the last two years. I suggested to him that perhaps the mast could be repaired. Since he only has a rather unreliable trailer that he uses to transport the craft short distances, I suggested that he should try to find a shop in the area. I thought this would be the most logical place to start the search and volunteered to make the inquiry on his behalf.

Any suggestions??

Any chance you could get a picture and post it here?
It may be that he could fix it himself with a bit of encouragement.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll contact him to see if he can send me some photos to post. I had offered to undertake the project, but there didn't seem to be any convenient way to get the mast to SE Ohio.
